Sign Up For FlyCast iPhone Video Channel Guide

FlyCast was the first company to deliver streamed entertainment to the iPhone and continues to lead the way as a top ten application on multiple smartphone platforms. FlyCast was the first to bring terrestrial radio stations to mobile devices and to offer background music playback on the iPhone. The company’s mobile client/server technology allowed it to create the world's first mobile digital media recording application that lets users record and store broadcasts when wireless connections are good and then listen at their leisure without the need for wireless connectivity. Similar to a home DVR, FlyCast’s time shifting capability allows users to fast forward and pause live media or recordings.

FlyCast currently delivers over 2000 channels of in-demand content – music, sports, news, traffic, weather and talk – to millions of smartphone users worldwide, on devices that include iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android-based devices like Nexus 1, Droid, BlackBerry’s Bold, Curve, Tour and Storm and others.

Although primarily known for its smartphone entertainment products, FlyCast has also created a cross platform mobile application development ecosystem from its groundbreaking mobile broadcasting technology. With appMobi, FlyCast has created a deep and comprehensive tool set that supports cross-platform application development, deployment and monetization, using common HTML and JavaScript. The appMobi ecosystem offers developers of content-rich applications a "write once, deploy cross platform" environment and is offered to developers at no charge.

Anyone seeking to create mobile applications can use the appMobi tools to create applications for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. appMobi delivers FlyCast's proven content management, advertising (targeting, insertion and tracking), realtime updating, reporting and monetization tools to allow web developers to quickly create, deploy and monetize highly interactive native applications that address all popular smartphone platforms.

FlyCast’s broadcast partners provide regional, national and specialty content to listeners every day and include many of the top broadcasters in each category: local radio stations, news, talk, sports, weather, traffic and all genres of music. Partners include FOX News, Entercom, AccuRadio, Bonneville International, Bryan Broadcasting, Crawford Broadcasting, the Cromwell Radio Group, the Genesis Communication Network, KGOW Communications, KFMB, Midwest Television, Sandusky Radio Seattle, .977 Music, 1.FM, 1Club, Sky.FM, Digitally Imported, RadioIO, LA Talk, Radio Paradise, Martini in the Morning, FuzeBox Media, Jelly, Radio, Liberty News Radio, Blog Talk Radio, SmoothJazz.com, The Score and Comedy104

FlyCast was originally founded in 2006 as BroadClip Inc. by a group of seasoned PC industry veterans to create cutting-edge mobile media distribution and management technology. The company changed its name to FlyTunes when it introduced its original mobile content network in January 2008. In September 2008, the company changed its name to FlyCast to better reflect the full spectrum of media available on its mobile broadcast network.

The company has offices in Livermore, CA and Lancaster PA.
